The idea

A little sunshine, wherever you land. Sun Club began with a simple image: the sun meeting the water. That idea grew into a collection of graphic prints inspired by Australia's coastlines, cities, islands and open landscapes.

The approach

Each artwork takes the character of a place and reduces it to a few essential shapes, colours and textures. The original print sets the language: two colours, yellow and black, screenprinted by hand on thick cotton paper, small flaws kept. The new designs carry it forward with a limited palette per place.

The making

The original Sun Club print is proposed as a signed, numbered edition of 30. The ten Australian designs are a proposed concept range, intended for the same screenprint approach. They have not been printed and are not for sale.
